Located between the Milk District and the up-and-coming Hourglass District in South Downtown, J. Bauman South has, additionally, partnered with several independent contractors to provide brow and esthetic services.

Meet The Owner: Jes Bauman

About me: Hi, I’m Jes! I’m the owner of J. Bauman Salon and have been a hairstylist since 1992. I completed my apprenticeship in New York, where I developed a strong foundation in precision, discipline, and craftsmanship that continues to influence my approach today.
In 2006, I opened our Mills 50 location with a vision of creating a salon built around education, professionalism, creativity, and genuine connection. While I’m not behind the chair as often these days, I still enjoy taking on the occasional creative challenge and staying connected to the craft that started it all.
What I’m most proud of is the team we’ve built. I believe great salons are built through strong education and a strong culture, which is why I continue to invest in ongoing training and development for our stylists throughout the year.
Today, my focus is on leadership, growth, and making sure every guest experience reflects the standards we’ve spent years building at J. Bauman Salon.

About me: Hi, I’m KC! I’ve been a hairstylist since graduating from Florida Beauty Academy in 2006. Before entering the beauty industry, I worked as a veterinary technician, and that same compassion and connection with people is still a big part of how I approach my clients today.
I love dramatic transformations, whether it’s a completely new color, a fresh haircut, or both. Razor cutting is one of my specialties, and I love creating customized looks that work for each client’s individual style, hair, and personality.
