It’s hard to believe that we’re into September now, especially because it’s still as hot and humid as ever. But, believe it; with each steamy day that passes, we are another day closer to sweaters and pumpkin spice. It’s with that autumnal spirit, and the runways of Fall/Winter fashion weeks, in mind that I present to you the hair trends that I predict will be hotter than a fresh PSL this Fall:
Natural-Looking Ginger
Red hair is an Autumn staple, but like a lot of other color trends this year, the red that’s really on fire right now is a more natural-looking one. Now more than ever, our colorists are seeing a demand for ginger and copper hair that looks like its origins are genetic, rather than from a tube. I think this color is a perfect way to conjure that Fall feeling, especially in a place where the trees are green year-round, and I’m sure we’ll see a lot more of it before Winter rolls around.
Bronde
With Balayage having been so popular over the last five years or so, many variations and placements have developed, allowing for a person to have multiple hair colors in one. Hence the popularity of Bronde, the seamless (and usually equal) blend of brown and blonde, for this upcoming season. A great low-maintenance color, and an option for year-round blondes to tone it down for the season, Bronde hair is going to be everywhere this Fall.
A Pinch Of Pastel
Again, a lower-maintenance version of an ongoing trend has presented itself for Fall 2019. Cool-toned pastels are going to be huge this season, and the best part is that a small pop of these colors can make a major impact on your overall look. If this trend catches your eye, but bleaching your hair isn’t your thing, ask your stylist about how you can use tape-in extensions to add these fantasy colors in a damage-free way.
Curtain Bangs
This 60s and 70s throwback trend blew up over the Summer, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon. Made to look a little on the shaggier side, curtain bangs are a fantastic way to soften the look of a haircut, and highlight the cheekbones beautifully; plus they look chic with any hat you might fancy wearing when cooler weather rolls in.
Middle Part
nother trend reminiscent of the 70s, the middle part is sticking around this season. Whether worn wavy or sleek, a middle part always makes a look more chic!
Semi-Updos
With a reemerging popularity for hair accessories like scrunchies and oversized barrettes and clips, the half-updo has become a go-to. Casual, but still put together, this look is versatile and can be modified to be more or less dressed-up, with something as simple as a half ponytail, or braids and twists can add complexity.
