With the holidays behind us, the promise of a new year hangs in the air like the smell of the Christmas tree that will inevitably stay in the living room until the first week of February. With this in mind, it’s time to start thinking about how you’ll welcome in 2019, will it be with a loved one at home, or perhaps with a night out, clad in sequins and glitter? Either way, it’s important to look your best, so here are some classic styles that are fit to ring in the New Year, and make the first day of 2019 a good hair day.

Create a heavy side part using a comb, then curl hair away from your face with a medium to large iron. Spray with a moderate hold hairspray, then use your fingers or a wide-toothed comb to rake through the curls and create a more relaxed wave.
